What people are saying
- “Roma nel Piatto” by La Pecora Nera gave them a score of 7 out of 10 points (“good, very good”) in 2018 and 7 points in 2017.
- The Monocle Guide to Rome (2017) says this “feels like a cosy family kitchen, complete with mother at the stove” and sons Enrico and Daniele running front of house, “who brought a menu of traditional dishes with them with they moved to Rome” from Le Marche. They recommend the olives all’ascolana.
- Katie Parla (2007) recommends it, despite it’s presence in every tourist guide, and says that reservations are essential. She suggests ordering one of their “legendary tortini” – savory egg custard mixed with vegetables and cheese. She calls the olives ascolane – deep fried olives stuffed with meat – “one of the best foods ever invented.”
